This is information about you that you give us in person at our premises, by filling in forms on our site https://skytop-uk.com (our site) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. In our role as a credit intermediary, we may, if you require our services, also require information from you to facilitate your credit application to one or a number of our panel of lenders. This information will include your date of birth, employment details, banking details and income.

We need to know basic personal data in order that we can communicate efficiently with you while you consider purchasing a vehicle from us. Once you have purchased a vehicle from us, we will require this information to generate an invoice, which will form the legally binding agreement both parties are entering. If you request for us to arrange finance on your behalf, we will collect further information from you, in order that our lenders can make a fully informed decision as to whether they agree to accommodate your finance application request.
All the personal data we hold will be processed by our staff in the UK and only they will have access to your data unless there is a legal obligation for us to provide it to anybody else.

It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for one of our suppliers. We will keep your data during the period you are considering purchasing a vehicle from us. Should you not purchase a vehicle within 3 months or inform us before that point that you no longer wish us to correspond with you about a vehicle, your personal data will be destroyed. If you purchase a vehicle from us, we will keep your data until the end of our financial year (31st May), 7 years from your date of purchase. If you consent to receiving marketing material, any material we send, will only be sent until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive it.
We regularly review the personal data we hold, and delete anything we no longer need. Information that does not need to be accessed regularly, but which still needs to be retained, is safely archived or put offline.
You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your data under GDPR guidelines, as highlighted in the preceding sections of this privacy policy.
You have the right to make a written request to access your personal data. This includes a description of the personal data, the purposes for which it is being processed, recipients, retention periods and the right of rectification, erasure, restriction and objections.
